If you have a healthy children’s team full
of committed, enthusiastic leaders, Praise God.
If you have a small faithful few who toil away
week after week, Praise God. Perhaps you currently
have no children’s work but people willing
to have a go. Praise God.
Whatever the situation regular training
and resourcing your children’s workers should
be something that the church takes seriously.
Helen Proudfoot can provide 4 to 6 week courses,
tailored to suit your needs covering a variety
of building blocks and practical skills, to keep
leaders encouraged and equipped. There are a number
of useful resources she recommends too.
Training opportunities
GODLY PLAY MAKE AND TELL SESSION
@ DERBY CHURCH HOUSE ON
Wednesday June 27th 9.30– 12.30
Interest in Godly Play is growing and many of
you have been to an introductory session. Some
of you are borrowing the sets and using them
in your children’s groups.
The Make
and Tell session will demonstrate the
Creation Godly Play story, you will then make
the “kit” painting the pieces yourselves
with templates and pictures available to help.
All the other necessary items, will be available.
You will then practise telling the story with
others.
By the end of the morning you will have The
Creation Godly Play story to take away and
use. Places will be limited so please book early.
If you would like to attend a session like this
but would only be able to attend on a Saturday
please let me know, if there is enough interest
we will arrange one. Cost to cover materials £10.

The puppets shown are beautifully knitted and
around 12” tall. There clothing is biblical
and the clothes and head dresses are all removable.
