About the Diocese
The Diocese in Action
Ministry through the Diocese's Boards, Councils and Committees

The Derby Diocesan Board of Finance

The Board of Finance is responsible for managing all aspects of finance for the Diocese of Derby, much like an accounts department in a large firm. It manages the income for the Church and monitors the expenditure of all the Boards, Councils and Committees in the Diocese.

In addition, it has three sub-committees:

The Glebe Management Committee, which manages the buying and selling of land owned by the Church of England in this Diocese

The Parsonages Committee, which manages the purchase and maintenance of clergy homes

Redundant Churches Uses Committee - which oversees how church buildings no longer open for worship will be used.
