Applications are invited for this newly created role within the Derbyshire Agricultural Chaplaincy (DAC) and Rural Action Derbyshire (RAD).  RAD, which is based in Matlock, is an independent organisation and registered charity, operating across the county. RAD aims to improve the life of those living and working in Derbyshire. 

The new Chaplain to young farmers will offer pastoral and practical support as part of the wider work of the Derbyshire Agricultural Chaplaincy; supporting young farmers and their families and identifying and engaging with the issues affecting young farmers. He/she will work closely with other farming support charities and the rural church in offering holistic support to young farmers in Derbyshire. 

We are looking for a Chaplain with a sound knowledge of the farming industry and a proven track record of providing practical, emotional and spiritual support to individuals in crisis. You must have a keen interest and ideally, successful experience, in providing pastoral support to younger people. Familiarity with both faith and church structures and a committed involvement in your chosen denomination is required together with some formal theological education.

Salary: £20,541 per annum (pro rata to 14 hours)

This is a fixed term contract for one year initially, with possible renewal subject to future funding.
