Vocations Roadshow, Holy Trinity Matlock Bath, 15 May, 2 - 5pm

 

The first of three 2012 Vocations roadshows to be held. A warm invitation to anyone in the early stages of seeking their vocation , we offer a space to explore, listen, pray and ask questions, all without obligation. If you think you might be interested, then we invite you to set aside this afternoon, and join us to help discern what God might be calling you to do in His Church. We’re here to support you on your journey. Further dates are Tuesday 12th June and Tuesday 4th September both in the evening, locations to be confirmed.

Design makes or breaks your poster, leaflet, newsletter or webpage. This half day workshop offers an insight into the principles of good design, and reveals tops tips and free resources that will help make your design fly. Come and learn how to plan design effectively, the importance of hierarchy, how to use fonts, faces and photos, and how to let your design breathe. A must for anyone producing any kind of graphic design for their church or charity. A walk through the old testament, Saturday May 19th, 10am - 4pm, Borrowash Methodist Church

A basic orientation in the books of the OT, when they written and by whom, and then a look at the ‘big stories’ as seen by Jews and by Christians. A study day with Margaret Barker D.D.
