Communications have a high priority in the Diocese of Derby.

We recognize that the context in which the Church is called to communicate the Gospel is fast changing. The communication revolution has affected all of our lives to a greater or lesser extent.

We seek to build relationships with the media and other partners in working within all communities through Derbyshire advocating prayer and worship, teaching and nurture, as well as care and service. The emphasis is on being proactive rather than reactive.

We issue media releases, produce internal communications, keep the website up to date and advise the bishops, senior team and parishes as to good practice when it comes to communications.

Lucy Greensmith is the Communications Co-ordinator based at Church House. She is supported by a team of freelance creative people who all work towards ensuring that the Good News of the Diocese is make known.

Revd Rob Marshall is communications adviser to the Diocese and provides our media office.
