A local clergyman has won a bursary award
from Ecclesiastical Insurance to study new ways of explaining
the Christian faith in a modern world. The Reverend Roger
Watts, rector of All Saints Wingerworth, will be reflecting
on exactly what it means to say, in the 21st century, that
"God saves" and why the death of Jesus Christ was
necessary for this. He was given his award at a ceremony at
St Paul’s Cathedral Chapter House on Friday 9th January
by the chairman of Ecclesiastical Insurance, Mr Nicholas Sealy.

Altogether 23 members of the clergy received awards from
Ecclesiastical Insurance at the ceremony.
